ACTIVITIES AND EXCURSIONS
Options for Activities and Excursions
You may either select our scheduled sequence of activities and excursions
based on the length of your stay, or, you can put together your own
itinerary, tailored to your specific interests. The number of activities
and excursions that you may take part in is, of course, related to
the length of your stay. ECOTEC has put together itineraries for 3,
5 and 7 day itineraries. It would require at least a week to take
part in all of the activities and excursions available at Bocas del
Toro Biological Station.
ITEC PACKAGES
The 3-day Itinerary
Day 1 -AM: Arrive at airport, transfer to field station, settle into
your accommodations. Relax and explore the station environs, sunbathe
or take a swim.
-Noon: Lunch at field station
-PM: Interpretive rainforest hike
-6:00 pm: Dinner at field station
- Evening: Night-time forest hike, night monkeys
Day 2 -7:30 am: Breakfast
-AM, Excursion to Bird Island, swim or snorkel.
-Noon: Lunch at field station
-PM, Explore the rainforest canopy; tree climbing activity
-6:00 pm, Dinner at field station
-Evening: Trip to town of Bocas
Day 3 -7:30 am: Breakfast
-AM: Cave exploration, Mimbitimbi or Agouti
-Noon: Lunch at field station
-PM: Snorkel or dive on area coral reef
-6:00 pm: Dinner at field station
-Evening: Lecture or movie, relax at field station
