  • B.S. in Biology- Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, México (2001).

Teaching Experience

I have been an ungraduate student instructor for some courses, including Systematic, Animal Diversity, and Natural Resources. While teaching, I have tried to stimulate integrative thinking, and to give students practical and theoretical tools in order to develop an integrative and complex thinking. I believe critical thinking in
students will result in potential science research.

Courses Taught

  • 2002- 2005. Professor. 1st Year B.S. in Biology: Systematic I. Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, México.
  • 2006. Associate Professor. : Natural Resources. Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas, México.
  • 2009 – 2011. Professor. 2nd Year B.S. in Biology: Animal Diversity. Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, México.

Research Interests

My research interests include basic zoological topics as taxonomy, diversity and ecology dynamic communities, also applied topics, specially focus in management and conservation in natural reserves. My research involves arthropod relevance as indicators of disturbance, analysis of socio-ecological systems and alternatives of conservation strategies. My areas of interest are many. Although specific areas of expertise include: web- spiders taxonomy, ecology of communities, conservation strategies in reserves, socio-ecological systems, human rights and the environment; local and traditional ecological knowledge, sustainable development and conservation..
