Research/Teaching Interests:

My professional interests lie in the ecology and biogeography of hermatypic coral ecosystems and their response to anthropogenic impacts. I have looked at shallow-water (< 40m) reef communities in Bonaire (Netherlands Antilles), Belize, Honduras, Hawaii (the big island), Maui, the Mexican Yucatan, and Panama. I also have explored deep sea coral reefs (70-100m) via Remotely Operated Vehicle along the West Florida Shelf and Pulley Ridge in the Gulf of Mexico.
